I so need this book and soon! I feel like I’m starving as soon as I finish an Anita story waiting for the next. When I discovered this series it was 20 years ago so several were out then I caught up. I wish I could twitch my nose and get more.
It’s available now. It’s more a novella. It was not my favorite. It was a lot of thought & old relationship processing. I would have liked more Edward. More monster hunting & a resolution to the fight we built up to for hours. Still my fav series! Can’t wait for next one.

Absolutely! I went back in the audiobook to try to see if I missed something. There was no “getting the bad guy” and the book could have ended with the wedding. I waited 4 months for this to be available and feel like I wasted the day and a half. I listed to books while I work, this was all personal angst and very little hunter.

I’ve read this series more times than I can count and out of all of the current books(except for Slay, as I’ve not had a chance to read it yet), this one is my favorite. I absolutely love the way things have changed so suddenly. There were so many unresolved issues with Richard and where the triumvirate would go and I hated that those 2 big things just faded out of mind for so long. It always felt like Richard was supposed to be more important to Anita and Jean-Claude. I absolutely love that things were brought back into the open and that now there are so many possibilities open again.
I love Laurel’s Anita Blake books and her Merry Gentry books. I currently have on e books all the Anita Blake books. I would love to pre buy her newest book from Apple bookstore. I just found out about it. I currently live in Kansas but I am going to move to Reno, Nevada. But I wish before I move is to go to were Laurell Hamilton lives hoping to go to a book signing. That is on my bucket list. As long as Laurell Hamilton writes her Anita Blake or her Merry Gentry novels and I am able to read or listen to her books l will buy them. She’s one of the best paranormal writers in the world.

I listen to the book today and I enjoyed it, but it is unfinished. When is the next book? You left us in the middle of everything and I can’t see anything else without spoilers, which I will not do.
I’m confused about how it just ends ? Nothing is solved ?
I enjoy reading the series, but I think too many new characters and not as much of Jean Claude my favorite character and Richard. Hope to see more Jean Claude as main character. Don’t like Nicky character see that he’s getting more time in the book than the main characters.
Anita is in love with a psychopath and let him get away with so much is crazy. And Nathaniel to be the love of her live when Jean Claude been around the longest and do anything for her. Also if any change in future books Anita has a child hope you make it Jean Claude child cause there is lots of old vampire in the books that have children so there is no reason why you can’t make her have a child with him first over any other character.
One of the worst books I’ve ever read. The plot was unfinished and the amount of inane dialogue was really detrimental. You need to work on pacing and less preachy dialogue around polyamory topics.
Where is the ending to this book? Feels like it’s missing multiple chapters… c’mon folks- this is not ok
I loved it. This is my favorite series. Love reading it every year or two. Love how each character grows and evolves in these books. I cannot wait to read the next in this series. Should of not read the teaser for it 🤦🏻♀️
