SKIN TRADE’S copy edits are done and off to New York.  Yea!  I’m sure I should have other things to say, but honestly, that’s it.  This book has been a hard one, but for now, it’s off and out of our hands.  We’ll see it one more time in page proofs, but it’s honestly, truly, almost done.  I was talking to a friend today and realized it wasn’t just the research trip being pushed up by three weeks, so that I wasn’t finished with the book before we had to take the break, but everything that happened during the writing of the book.  Just one of the things was Jon’s knee surgery, and five weeks of him not being allowed to put any pressure or weight on the knee.  Having to sleep in the downstairs guest bedroom, and not our own room.  There’s lot’s more, but most of it too personal for here.  Maybe someday when I write that tell-all book I’ll share, but not tonight.  Tonight it’s cold and wintry and it’s time for bed.  Time for something warm and cuddly.  G’night folks.  Pleasant dreams, if you like, nefarious dreams if you prefer.  I’m so tired that either are fine.
