30 pages for the day in three sessions of 12, 13, & 5. Still not completely out of this section of plot. Was hoping to finish before bed, but I give, need dinner, but the muse & I have played happily today. I still got to have lunch with my husband, Jon, and went to MMA class. Also, Dancing, the new Anita Blake e-special came out today! Thanks for all the great comments, everyone! Glad you are all enjoying it!

    1. I would like to know if both Beauty and Dancing will be available in other formats as I do not have a book reader and do not plan to buy one as I am old fashion and like the physical book.

  5. was just wanting to ask if there is going to be any more merry gentry novels and when to expect them?? also what happened to the Graphic comics that was supposed to come out? Has Laurel ever considered releasing the Merry Gentry series as an Anime movie?? I look forward to the responses to these questions thank you. I have read all of the existing Merry Gentry novels and most of the Anita Blake novels though now with My new kindle I am buying and rereading all of the AB novels starting at Guilty Pleasures.

  6. I’ve just reread the both series again in 2 week for the 15th time. YOU are the only author I ever reread and I read a LOT! I have been reading your books since the very beginning and can’t wait for the next. Love the novelettes, hope you do more. I love your characters and your writing. I always feel like I could pick up the phone and talk to Anita and Merry and any of their guys. Will there ever be any cross-over between the 2? Missed not having more of the ‘loving’ in Affliction though.

    1. Wow that’s a lot to read in 2 weeks! I loved her novels but I don’t have the free time to reread them took me over a year to read the AB novels! I have only reread JR Ward’s BDB and FA series LOVE them as much as the AB novels 🙂

  7. I liked Dancing as well, though I’m a little confused about it’s setting in relation to the novels. It seems to be after or before Hit List. Is it?

    Ever since reading Affliction I’m imagining Anita being pregnant:
    1st clue: She was in some kind of heat the first night of the hunt.
    2nd clue: She got very emotional. Though she has a temper, she doesn’t usually cry after killing an enemy.
    3rd clue: Different normal (as in food) smells make her feel sick.

    After everything that’s happened, including her emotional evolving, I’d like to suggest to give her a baby as a new challenge. Asher will be back causing trouble and I’m sure Olaf or some other bad guy (siren, fairy ;-), you name it) will show up. But I like watching Anita mature and think it would make a new situation spicier.

    2. I too have been wondering if they were little clues to what might be in the next book. Wouldn’t Nathaniel be pleased! I have just finished reading Affliction and I am going crazy wanting to know when the next book will be out. Then I can go back to my studies with a clear head and know if I have correctly picked up on clues or if it is just my wishful thinking. The team are coming together so magically. But poor Olof….look forward to hearing more about his adventure.
      I am knew to Anita and co but WOW…caught up fast….had to dig through many a book shop in Perth Western Australia to put my collection together, finally just a few to go to have a complete set. Oh and what’s going on with Anita and her little apprentice, has fatherhood altered his perception?

  10. I love your creative mind I wish I had talent for writing like you do but I don’t so I’ve read all your Anita and Meredith Gentry books. I was going to ask about more Meredith books but I saw your blog about her being stubborn and you plan to wait her out and come out with a book Summer 2014. Give her a kick in the butt and tell her her fans are waiting for more of her studs, sorry men, and her of course. I really enjoy your talent.

  12. I was wondering if you are going to write another Anita Blake novel? It would be interesting for all of her sweeties to meet her family and to see the reaction of her family to her sweeties. Also the commitment ceremony. And what about the rest of the European council what happens with them?Oh, and maybe something about the government people again?Maybe she could team up with them and hunt Olaf the new werelion.
