Gremlins

Nov 14, 2008

We’ve had gremlins this week. In no particular order; we have had a plumber out, an electrician, and the heating and cooling guy. It seemed like every time we had one problem fixed, something else broke. There were days when we’d have one professional in to fix one thing, then by that afternoon we’d notice something else was wrong. And our e-mail is still spotty, from damn near all the accounts. Jon gets it fixed, then it goes flooey again. Except for the e-mail, which we’re still going back and forth on, the rest seems to be working. Knock on wood. Honestly, when this many mechanical and technical things go wrong in one week, well, if it were a movie plot there’d be planning and intelligence behind it; gremlins.

It has been an amazingly busy week, in so many ways, but the book langquishes. Have I gone too far in that last scene? And no, it’s not a sex scene; sex is easy, magic is hard. Did the last scene match Anita’s world, or did it break some unwritten rule? Did I go over the metaphysical physics for her world? Or did it just make sense? I can’t tell. I’m so tired my eyes burn, and I’m doing myself no good at the computer. Time to call it a night.
