London

Jul 07, 2005

We got the news bright and early about the bombings in London. All day we’ve wondered what to say here. Finally, I come to the only things I can think of. To all those in London, to all those personally effected by the terrible events in England today, our prayers go out to you, our thoughts are with you. I do not understand the people that did this. I do not understand what they hoped to accomplish unless grief and terror is all they want. In that I’m sure they have succeeded. But the world is hard enough, full of enough grief that cannot be avoided, why would you create more? I stand as most of the world will stand befuddled, lost, because what happened today, makes no sense. If there is logic to it, I cannot see it.
Again, our thoughts are with you, and if it is any comfort to anyone touched by this tragedy, we will burn a candle, and say a prayer.
