New Blog: Doyle

May 26, 2014

We’re only a week and a day away from, A Shiver of Light, being on the shelves! I’ll see everyone in Huntington Beach, California at Barnes & Noble for the first event on June 2, and then onto Powell’s Books in Portland, Oregon on June 3!

Yesterday’s page tease featured the Killing Frost, but today, as promised, features Doyle, once the Queen’s Darkness, and now, new father, and happily part of a “couple”.

  1. This is just too funny. I love these little teases. 🙂
I can tell its going to be a great book. (:

  2. OMG! I can’t wait. I’ve read and reread all you books. Even my hubby loves them. With any luck I will make to the Huntington Beach event. Can’t wait for the next Anita Blake book.

  3. I am so excited! I just got my book preordered and will be in Huntington beach right after work on Monday!!! My teens are cooking for themselves that night, mommy has someone important to meet!

  4. Hmmm Doyle. Shiver. Tall Dark Handsome Commanding Strong Deep Intelligent. Altogether yummy.

  5. I’ve been waiting for this book for 5, FIVE years. Are you going to have a book signing in St Louis?? If so, when and where please.

  6. Just finished re-reading the first 8 books in preparation for this one. Doyle is definitely my favorite, but Rhys and. Sholto are close seconds. I love how all of her men have a place in her life. I found Merry after reading the Anita series and was curious about your other work. Both are strong yet vulnerable women and that’s what makes them easy to relate to. Can’t wait to stay up all night reading this one!

  7. confused – the part where they are talking about helping Maeve have a child with her husband. the line from Maeve “you kept her alive long enough to do the spell” did i miss something? or should it have said ‘him’?

    1. Maeve is implying that, without Doyle’s protection, Merry never would have stayed alive long enough for Merry and Galen to help Maeve and her husband become pregnant.

  8. I can only imagine how on edge all the men are with Merry being pregnant. If I were the cameraman I’d be thankful Doyle is such a master of control, heh. Because Doyle was one of the first of her men we met he’ll always hold a special place as my favorite. Though in reality it is difficult to choose one over the others, because they all bring something unique to the relationship they have with Merry.

  9. Omg I’m so excited! Can’t wait for th Book and can’t wait to see you again in Portland! Woop woop! Safe Travels!
