New Blog Enigine
Here’s the new blog format that Jon and I have been working on. We’ve changed the background color, yet again. It should be a blue marble, if it isn’t let us know. We also put up pictures. So many of you have asked for pictures of my office, and even asked for us to put a camera at my desk so you could see me work. So, not doing the camera. Let these still photos show that when I write the interesting stuff is all invisible in my head. You actually have two pictures of me working at both my main desks. I tend to change desks when I’m stuck. There’s a photo of me staring up at a huge flight of robins that went past the window just as Jon was taking the picture. Pictures of me and the dogs. Pippin is the big, black, puppy, and Sasquatch is the pug. You’ll figure it out. We even took a picture of me and the wall of sticky notes. There are one or two other pictures, I even turned the camera on Jon and made him suffer through one. We are going to put up more pictures in a few days. Let’s get past Thanksgiving first. But we decided to go with these pictures, because they come closest to representing what I actually do most of the time, in my office. I sit and type. I play with the dogs. Jon visits occassionally. I watch birds outside the windows. I drink tea, and other hot, and cold beverages. I do research, reading other books, or checking internet sites. I’m hoping this photos will persuade all of you that you really, really don’t want a camera in my office. My work is not visually stimulating. If I could project what’s going on in my head on a screen for you, that would be visually stimulating, not to mention illegal in several states. Sometimes. Let’s face it, if anything too interesting was happening in the office, when Jon visited, or something, I’d turn the camera off. You will never, ever see anything that you think you want to see. And, let this put the death to that rumor that I have a bevy of men in my office, as research aids. Who thinks of these things? If I had that much "research" I’d never get any writing done. For the love of God, some days I have to clear my desk of toys and rocks, and stare at a wall. Entire human beings . . . too distracting. So, here it is, the new blog format. Load it a couple of times to cycle through the pictures. It changes, randomly, every time you load. Earlier today it really liked the picture of me and Pippin.
