New Blog – images from the weekend

Jul 20, 2014

Sasquatch enjoying the summer weather with me this lovely weekend.

Jon and I had a couples’ day out Saturday at Asymmetrical Solutions. We took their, Basics of Tactical Shooting. Eight hours in the Missouri heat was grueling, but worth it. We learned an amazing amount. The picture is my Springfield Range Officer getting it’s well deserved & needed cleaning.

We managed to eat healthy this weekend, even fixed our lunch ahead for the tactical class. Roast turkey and a salad of heirloom tomatoes, carrots, colored bell peppers, and fresh leaf lettuce.

  1. What, no Browning Hi-Power? Anita should try the CZ in 45 ACP or one of its clones (Tangfolio Witness or Magnum Research Baby Eagle – 10 rounds), or the Para Ordinance P-14 (14 round mag in double stack 1911).

Love your work and delighted by Shiver of Light. While waiting for the new Meredith Gentry novel, became more of a fan of the action in the Anita Blake series. Hopefully Meredith’s children, being something other than mortal can mature more quickly (try a week on the road with two ten year old grandsons -different moms, same birth year- who argue about which one of them is more mature, when they are not doing the “are we there yet” routine). May she can have some more kids and spread more magic and hope in the world!

  2. I can not wait for another Anita Blake book. I never thought I would read all 22 in 9 months, but I did. I love her character. Strong and independent.

  3. love all you books. when is the next anita book. this is only area i read your posting.

  4. Have you ever considered publishing an e-book or guest authoring on other
websites? I have a blog based upon on the
same topics you discuss and would love to have you share some
stories/information. I know my visitors would appreciate your
work. If you are even remotely interested, feel free to shoot me an e-mail.
