October: Week 2 continued
Jon has developed a tolerance to his pain meds. We noticed that last night when he couldn’t sleep, and thus I couldn’t sleep. Now, some people might suggest that I do the practical thing and sleep in the other bedroom so at least one of us can sleep. Ah, you unromantic souls, you. Jon and I have only slept apart one night in seven years. Tomorrow is Jon’s knee operation, so it seems like tonight would not be the night to break that streak. We are both looking forward to him being able-bodied again, but I admit to some nervousness about the operation itself. He’s my sweetie, so I’m allowed.
And yes, I am still working on the next Anita book: SKIN TRADE. I’ve averaged seven pages a day since Archon finished up on Sunday. I’m doing interviews for SWALLOWING DARKNESS which hits the shelves on November 4th, Election Day.
I’m fixing dinner as I type this. Timer is about to go off. Wish us good luck for tomorrow.
