Physical Therapy and Everything Else

Nov 17, 2008

Ten pages on SKIN TRADE. Yea! Took Jon to his first physical therapy appointment. Double yea! The road to recovery has begun. Yipp-freaking-ee. Business phone calls were had. Business e-mails were answered. First e-mail of the day was roughs from the comic. Jean-Claude is in these. His first appearance in the book. Can’t wait to see the more finished pieces.

Tomorrow: take, stir well, and repeat. One of the things about having long running projects like novels and comic series, is that you know what you’re doing for the foreseeable future. Some people feel hemmed in by long term deadlines and goals. Not me, bring it on, I like knowing what I’m doing today and years down the road. I’m not saying that I don’t find new ideas that intrique me, and it would be nice to find time in the schedule to do new stuff, occasionally, but all and all, I’m pretty happy doing what I do. At the end of a busy day, I guess there’s no better thing to be able to say, then that. Now, I’m off to bed, to slide in beside my warm husband and some clean, soft sheets, on this cold, winter’s night. There’s nothing quite as nice as cuddling on a cold night, except maybe cuddling on a summer’s night, or a spring night, or . . . well, autumn is very nice, too. Wait, wait, I got distracted, what was I saying? Oh, that’s right. Good night, folks, sleep tight, keep warm.
